"Long time no Firefly"

So long since our last update. Did you miss us? Sorry.
We were just waiting till we had something really newsworthy.
But that's never stopped us before, so here goes...

Miss Sweden - with brains

Miss Sweden When our Swedish distributor suggested sponsoring Miss Sweden, we had to ask, what's that got to do with Firefly?

But, no, this was "New Miss Sweden", where judges were after brains and ballgowns, not bathing suits.
Um, perfect.

In fact, they're taking such a firm "modern" stance that they refused to send Miss Sweden (left) to Monday's "Miss Universe" finals in Mexico City.

Rosemary for revision

Rosemary Exams: remember how they used to ruin the summer?
And everyone had their hot tip on revision:
Coloured pens...
Head-massage...
Subliminal tapes whilst you sleep... (never worked)

Well, here's one from unlikely quarters: Rosemary.
It "stimulates the circulation of blood to the head, improving memory and concentration" according to Andrew Chevallier (our herb-maestro).

Must be worth a trial infusion...

90 million grapes

Fields of Green Tea Someone just drank our 5 millionth bottle.

Which means Firefly drinkers have gulped down roughly:

  • 90 million grapes
  • 1.2 million bitter orange flowers
  • 926,000 lemons
  • 6 miles of Siberian Ginseng root
  • And enough Green Tea for 725,000 tea-bags

Well blow me down.

 

 

Emma the Canapé critic

Emma Dalglish with a Firefly cocktail (of course) If you've been given a free Firefly at a party recently, it's probably thanks to Emma, our new events manager.

Being a bit of a foodie (her mother runs a deli), one of Emma's first innovations has been the "Canapé Rankings".
Her Top 3 so far:

  • Fanciest canapés: Condé Nast Traveller Hot List party
  • Hottest waiters: Topshop Autumn Collection launch
  • Coolest crowd*: Antony Gormley opening at the Hayward
     

 

*crowd rather uncoolly ate all the canapés before we got there.
But the exhibition's amazing so it had to go in:-)

Chocolate heaven

Firefly team hard at work making fancy chocolates
For our latest "team-building exercise" (cough), we learned how to make (mostly) fancy chocs at My chocolate.
So "on brand".

 

And speaking of chocolates (segue-tastic), you can now get Firefly at two of London's finest patisseries...

Enough Firefly news, surely, for a couple more months.
