February 2007

"Stress down, honey"

Hi Harry,

"Stand in a busy street [...] In the work- hour crowd you will see anxiety, excessive concentration, dyspepsia, lack of interest in anything but the struggle, incapacity for play, unconsciousness of their fellow creatures."
Bertrand Russell, 1930

Stress, then, is nothing new.
But we're determined to have a stress-free February.
And a stress-free newsletter. (Better keep it short).

Manuka bushes. Maltese radio. Green slippers.
2007's going to be alright...

Thanks for keeping in touch,

Harry & Marcus

Stress Down Day - 1st Feb

Caroline & Imogen chilling facials; Marcus gets a head massage Apparently February is usually stress central.
Which is why the Samaritans have chosen today as "Stress Down Day".

Celebs are going to be wearing green fluffly slippers.
Our Special edition Chill out is raising extra funds.
And if you could do with a de-stress, look out for...

  • Free massages at Harvey Nichols (Quick - ends today)
  • Head massages at various company canteens (this week)
  • Two massage packages for you and 3 friends to win (click here)

So all in all a pretty hectic week.
Definitely time for a Chill out.

Maltese stardom

Picture of Maltese DJ surrounded by Firefly We've reached the heights of fame.
Our new favourite radio station, Calypso 101.8 of Malta, moved into the main square of bustling Hamrun to celebrate the launch of Firefly.

Apparently all listeners were converted. (Audience figures TBC)

And this month they're doing a special event for Love Potion. We're on tenterhooks.

If you're out of Malta's FM range, you can even listen on-line.
Soft rock heaven.
Hope your Maltese is up to it...

Manuka honey kick

New Health Kick with Manuka honey next to old Self Defence Remember last time we said Self Defence was in therapy?
Well, the make-over is complete. May we present "Health Kick". (Da daah.)
Blood oranges, Manuka honey and Ginger.
(Along with Elderberry, Ginseng, Thyme, Galangal and other immune-friendly herbs of course).

As for Manuka honey...

  • It's from New Zealand (where Manuka bushes grow)
  • The bees have to visit 5800 Manuka flowers to make the honey in each bottle of Health Kick.
  • You've heard of, um, X factor. But what about (drum roll) "Manuka factor"?

Model worker

Nick with Kerry McGregor Nick's just joined us to help with sales.

He's from South Africa, where all the girls are models. Or at least all his cousins, apparently.

Here's one of them, called Kerry, who was No. 2 in FHM's sexiest women in the world.

And he didn't even mention this in the interview...

News in briefs

Award, bottom of bottle, Bill Gates And in case that's not quite enough Firefly gossip...

Love Potion won "best nutraceutical" at the (somewhat specialised) Functional Drinks Innovation Awards.
We have a little Valentine plan - watch this space...

We've got a new bottle. Looks pretty much like the old one, but it says FIREFLY on the bottom (radical) and doesn't splash when you open it (hooray).

And we sold our 4 millionth bottle at the start of January.

Apparently Bill Gates gets 4 million emails a day.

Tough job...

Right then, back to work, excessive concentration etc...

Or if you're feeling very chilled, you could always check out these...

All the best for 2007,

Harry & Marcus
