The Serpentine Summer Party is the most eagerly anticipated event of the season. This year's soiree, sponsored by Swarovski, was no exception - even the sun made an appearance. Manning the committee were Zaha Hadid and Dennis Hopper. Hadid and Patrik Schumacher were the architects of the pavilion, and they erected towering fabric parasols for newlyweds Mr and Mrs Rod Stewart, Dinos Chapman and Dan Macmillan to mingle under. Fuelled by Peroni, Laurent Perrier and Firefly Tonics, guests tucked into steamed lobster by Urban Caprice before dancing to the Queens of Noize. Guests giggled watching Geri Halliwell practise her spice moves on David Walliams. Eveyone took home crystals from Swarowski.
