Firefly's Global Village

Firefly bottles like to travel. They're just not happy sitting around on the floor of a Yorkshire warehouse. So keep your eyes peeled, as you'll find them hanging out in Stockholm cafés, relaxing on the beaches of the Maldives, and enjoying room service in the suites of swanky Hong Kong hotels. Richard Branson has even ordered Firefly for his new restaurant on the moon.

Ok, so we made that bit up, but it's true that we're helping people get the most out of life naturally all over the world. Come and join us on the beach.

What have we been up to recently? Take a look at International Events.

Most people don't know that the plucky residents of Andorra have the highest life expectancy of any country in the world, an estimated 83.52 years. We think that's because they drink so much Firefly. The skiing's great, it's a tax haven and my parents went there on honeymoon... definitely a good place to Chill Out.

G'day mate! Australia... the land of wallabies, boomerangs, strangely shapped opera houses, and Firefly. A friend wrote to us recently to say that he'd been touring the vineyards of Margaret River and was delighted to find Firefly stocked in the café he stopped at for lunch. So it's official, you can now Sharpen Up, Down Under.

They're a clever lot, the Austrians. You don't need to Sharpen Up when you come from a country that counts Sigmund Freud, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Friedrich Hayek and Arnold Schwarznegger among its intellectual aristocracy. Then again, after a hearty meal of weiner schnitzel, knödel and apfelstrudel, washed down with several glasses of märzen, you might be in need of a Detox.

With Inbev, the largest brewer in the world by volume, based in Belgium and an estimated 500 varieties of beer available, it's no surprise that Detox is a firm favourite with our friends across the Channel.  Belgium was one of the first countries outside the UK to stock Firefly and we've been going strong ever since. Proost!

We'll be honest, we don't know much about Firefly in Bulgaria, except that the other day a nice man called us up and asked if he could buy some. So if you happen to be passing through Sofia anytime soon and you spot a bottle of Firefly, please take a photo!

Firefly is popping up all over the place in Canada, mosy notably in Whole Foods and we've learnt a thing or two from our distributor, Schlomo, who's been "in this business longer than you've been alive" as he likes to remind us! Our only worry is making sure we get Firefly into the country without it freezing in winter. We've been giving each of our bottles a warm blanket and a nice cup of tea before they set off on their journey and so far, so good!

There are few people as enthusiastic about Firefly than Rafa "Take Eat Easy" Rincon, our go-getting Chilean distributor. We sold our first Firefly in Santiago in July this year and we're expecting plenty more converts over the coming months.

If you're planning a trip to Prague, make sure you stay in either the Maximilian or the Josef, as you'll find Firefly sitting happily in the minibars of these two leading hotels. Alternatively, you can always pop into a branch of Coffee Heaven... just make sure you grab a Wake Up instead of a cappuccino!

In 2006, a psychologist at the University of Leicester produced the first ever 'World Map of Happiness' and he rated Denmark as the happiest nation in the world. We think there might be a correlation here, as Denmark boats the largest consumption of Firefly anywhere outside the UK!

You'll find us in some very cool places, such as Skt Petri Hotel, part of the Design Hotels Group. We're also in lots of cafés and delis throughout Copenhagen proving that as well as being happy, the Danes also have a great eye for good design!

Back in October2007, Finland was rated the best country to live in by Reader's Digest. So long as you live close to a café that stocks Firefly, we think that's probably true. It's early days in Finland but our distributor, Irina, has been busily building up our distribution and we're looking forward to making our first trip to Helsinki before long!

It was no surprise when Antoine got in touch with us back in 2003. The French reputation for impeccable taste, style and joie de vivre meant it was never going to be long before Firelfy caught the eye of le Français and we've been mixing with the crème de la crème in Monoprix, Colette and La Fayette... there's just something je ne sais quoi about Firefly, n'est-ce pas?

Although we only started supplying Firefly to Germany in early 2007, it's already our second biggest export market! With Firefly on the shelves in Aral, not to mention the minibars of the Park Hyatt, Hamburg and the Dusseldorf Hilton, Lars and his team are spreading the Firefly word across the country.

"In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous" - Aristotle. We couldn't agree more with the man of letters from Ancient Greece, which is why our drinks are 100% natural. The Ancient Greeks also knew a thing or two about herbs, which is probably why the modern Greeks have taken to Firefly so keenly! Find yourself a Sharpen Up and get cracking on your philosophy homework...

If you've ever been to Hong Kong, you'll know the pace of life is legendary. The food is fantastic, the partying even better. It's lucky therefore that you can now enjoy a Detox from the minibar of your room in the Four Seasons Hotel. Sit back, relax, and take in the stunning views of the harbour. Feeling better now? Thought so.

We have recently begun selling Firefly in Hugary... we'll be back soon to let you know where!

Mum's gone to Iceland. Well, if Mum had gone to the real Iceland, she'd have no problem finding a Firefly, as we're stocked all over the place. Considering there are only 313,000 people on the island, the per capita intake of Firefly is probably the highest in the world. No surprises there, as Iceland is a nation of health conscious, sporty types, who like nothing more than winning a strongman contest and then going home for a Chill Out. Bonza.

Rajan and Tiku, our friends from India, have been working overtime to introduce Firefly to the subcontinent. We're stocked in some of the smartest hotels across the country, including the Marriott and Four Seasons in Mumbai, and the Intercontinental in Delhi. Now all we need is a product placement in a Bollywood movie!

The Italians are passionate about many things: football, food, fast cars, Firefly. In a country that also enjoys a long love affair with espresso, we weren't sure how Wake Up would get on! But thanks to the efforts of Walter & Antonio, Italy is slowly but surely Waking Up the natural way...

Adam and Eve. Anthony and Cleopatra. Firefly and Japan.

Quite simply, it was a match made in heaven. Firefly's cool design and healthy ingredients went down a treat when our drinks were introduced to the Land of the Rising Sun by Melanie, our energetic distributor in Japan. You'll find us on the shelves of Natural Lawson, an extensive chain of health food shops, as well as in some of the most stylish hotels, such as Tokyo's Mandarin Oriental and Park Hyatt.

Firefly hit the ground running when we entered the Korean market towards the end of 2007. Our energetic distributors, John and Ken, have been out and about spreading the Firefly vibe and they've even got us on TV... not once but twice! You'll find Firefly in Beans & Berries, Lenotre and Cafe Speciality at Gimpo Airport, with plenty more outlets in the pipeline.  Dynamic Korea indeed!

We'll be honest. When we first started building the Firefly brand, Lativa wasn't in the plan. But we hadn't bargained for Arturs, our dedicated man in Riga, who has taken Firefly to unimaginable heights in the Baltic republic, even getting us featured in FHM!

Little Luxembourg is world's only remaining Grand Duchy, ruled by Grand Duke Henri. We're not sure if he drinks Firefly but we have got a few dedicated fans who'll be found sipping a Health Kick in one of the historical capital's cafés.

As he admired the clear blue water running out to the horizon and he came over the brow of a grassy knoll, heading to the pool, your correspondent found a young couple lounging in the sunshine... drinking Detox! That's because we're very popular in 5 star hotels in Malaysia. Not only the Shangri-La's Rasa Ria resort but Kuala Lumpur's Renaissance, Millenium and Westin Hotels. It's all down to Raymond, who'll also be introducing Firefly to Singapore very soon...

Malta maybe one of the smaller markets in which we sell Firefly but they're big on ideas to promote the brand. Not only was Firefly involved in a local radio show last year, but to our knowledge Malta has the only football team in the world sponsored by Firefly. We're very grateful to Saviour John and his team for all the support they've given us and we're hoping to see Rabat Ajax F.C. make it to the Champions League soon!

In 2003, the Netherlands became our first ever international market, and they haven't looked back since. Thanks to the efforts of Rien and Jan Willem, we're now stocked in Albert Heijn and at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport as well as lots of classy hotels in the Hilton, Marriott and Incontinental chains. We're hoping to become as well known in Holland as clogs, windmills and the boy in the dyke...

Our friends in Norway have taken to Firefly like Edvard Munch took to painting. Our energetic distributors, Kurt and Thomas, have been working overtime and Firefly is now well established in Oslo and beyond. You'll find us in Norgesgruppen, Deli Deluca, 7/11 and SunKost.

Sweden is cool, in more ways than one. It gets a little nippy in the winter but the summers are light and long, a perfect time for the trendy Swedes to Chill Out in the beautiful parts of Stockholm's Old Town, or Sharpen Up in the Nordic Light Hotel... where you'll find Firefly in the minbars.

Dubai is perfect for getting the most out of life naturally. Sun, sea, surf and snow. Snow? Yep, that's right, Dubai is now the proud owner of the world's largest indoor snow park. So whether you want to Chill Out on the beach or Sharpen Up your snow boarding on the slopes, Dubai's the place. You can find Firefly in some of the city's coolest hotels, including the Desert Palm, Jumeirah Beach and the Jueirah Emirates Tower. See you by the pool... or on the piste!

Ok hands up, what does the F in JFK stand for? That's right, Firefly! Right, before we get sued, we'll admit it's Fitzgerald. But we're certainly keen to make Firefly as well known as the 35th President. America is a big place, and we're over on this side of the pond, but we've got some great people spreading the word Stateside. You'll find us in Whole Foods stores on the East Coast, and cool hotels like The Trump in Chicago and the Mandarin Oriental in Miami. Next stop Hollywood...
